Our History
The idea of creating a lavender field was born in 2017. Inspired by the beauty and benefits of this plant, we decided to embark on this unique adventure in Acadia. Preparing the land was a crucial step: for three years, we worked the soil in an environmentally friendly way, using buckwheat, oats, compost, and lime as natural green manures. In 2021, we took our first concrete steps by planting 900 plants. This test allowed us to confirm that lavender could thrive in our Acadian climate. Given this success, we added more than 1,500 additional plants in 2022, all planted by hand with care and patience. The summer of 2023 marked an important milestone: opening our field to the public for pick-your-own. It was a powerful moment, as we were finally able to share the fruits of several years of work and passion. Today, we cultivate three varieties: Munstead and Hidcote Blue, renowned for their culinary qualities, and Phenomenal, chosen for its excellent essential oil yield. Through on-site distillation, we transform our harvests into pure essential oil, which is then used in our products. Our lavender field is the result of a dream, great perseverance, and a desire to build something sustainable and respectful of nature. Every step, from the field to the flowers, has been guided by a passion to introduce lavender in all its forms right here, in the heart of Acadia.
